Homeopathy: What it Is, How it Works and How it Began

Classical homeopathy has a very different approach than most medical care systems. Normally a person will go to a doctor for a specific problem or symptom. They are usually then given a drug to make the problem go away.

However, the symptom is there for a reason. It indicates a deeper imbalance within the body. If the imbalance continues, the symptom(s) will either return in the same form or will appear as a completely different set of problems, usually called a ‘disease.’ This occurs because most remedies are used to suppress symptoms and the core issues are never addressed.

Homeopathy never attempts to do this, but instead focuses on a true cure. It is based on the ‘knowing’ that the body is an intelligent organism and will always use its innate wisdom to rectify any imbalance, as long as it is given the appropriate substances.

The intent of all homeopathics is to provide the body with what it needs to strengthen and balance itself. This strengthening allows the body to deal with the root of the problem and use its innate intelligence to heal itself. As this occurs our bodies will no longer need to produce the symptoms.

Beginnings of Homeopathy

Homeopathy was founded around 1805 in Germany by a medical doctor named Samuel Hahnemann . For the past 200 years it has been very common through all of Europe. The Latin American countries, India and many other areas of the world have also embraced it for at least the past century.

In the United States, prior to 1900 about 15% of MD’s were also homeopaths. Then, with the increase of pharmaceuticals and a strong discouragement by the American Medical Association, homeopathy was dropped by most physicians and became relatively unknown.

However, this has changed over the past 25 years. More and more people have been taking responsibility for their own health through the use of vitamins and food supplements and the exploration of alternative medicine. All of which have helped lead to a resurgence in the use of homeopathic medicine.

All homeopathic formulations of growth hormone have the potential to stimulate the body's innate abilities to re-balance. They are designed to work on a deep cellular level and use the intelligence of the body to get at the root causes of what medical science is now calling the ‘disease’ of aging.

Homeopathic Potencies

Potencies indicate how a homeopathic product was made in the laboratory and how it will work in the body.

The most widely used potencies are denoted by the Roman numerals “X” (decimal; 10) or “C” (centesimal; 100).

Homeopathics are not designed to repress symptoms within the body. Through the use of extremely small quantities of a substance, homeopathics are designed to activate the body’s own ability to heal itself or to express its health.
